Exports of 1 Billion 541 Million Dollars from EIB in July
Turkey's exports in July are; It increased from $13,8 billion to $19,8 billion, an increase of 22,5 percent.
In the Aegean Exporters' Association, industrial departments reached an export figure of 6 million dollars with an increase of 825,8 percent, while agricultural products exports increased by 4 percent, from 584 million dollars to 605 million dollars. The mining branch, which was the export growth record holder of 2024, showed a 19 percent increase in exports in July and brought 111 million dollars of foreign currency to Turkey.
10 EXPORTERS' UNIONS INCREASED THEIR EXPORTS IN EİB
While 12 of the 10 exporters' associations under the umbrella of the Aegean Exporters' Associations managed to increase their exports, 2 exporters' associations fell behind their performance in July 2023.
While the Aegean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association maintained its leadership among the 190 exporter associations within the EİB with an export level of 447 million 12 thousand dollars, it showed a 2023 percent increase in exports compared to July1.
HAZIRGIYIM REACHED SECOND PLACE
Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters' Association increased its exports from 21 million dollars to 116,5 million dollars with an increase of 140,6 percent in July, and after a long time, it became the second most exporting union within EİB.
Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association, Turkey's leader in aquatic products exports, increased its exports to 2 million dollars in July with a 129 percent increase and took its place in the third step of the peak.
While the Aegean Mineral Exporters Association achieved an increase of 19 percent, it increased its exports from 93 million dollars to 111 million dollars in July.
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, which delivers the flavors of the Aegean Region to all over the world as fresh fruits and vegetables and fruit and vegetable products, brought 107 million dollars of foreign currency to our country in July and became one of the five exporter associations that passed the 100 million dollars threshold under the umbrella of EİB.
The Aegean Tobacco Exporters Association, which brings together all tobacco and tobacco products exporters in Turkey under its roof, increased its exports by 6 percent in July and recorded 90,4 million dollars of exports.
Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association, which increased its exports by 6 percent in July, achieved an export success of 82 million 150 thousand dollars.
In July, one of the most successful exporters' associations within the Aegean Exporters' Associations was the Aegean Furniture Paper and Forest Products Exporters' Association. EMKOÜİB increased from 18 million dollars to 65 million dollars with an 76,8 percent jump in exports.
Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters' Association, which alone accounts for 60 percent of Turkey's dried fruit exports, improved its exports by 3 percent in July and increased it to 65 million dollars.
While the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters' Association left July behind with an export figure of 53 million dollars, the Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association recorded an export of 32,2 million dollars.
Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association, which is among the labor-intensive sectors and experienced a 2024 percent decline in exports in the first half of 16, showed a 9 percent improvement in exports in July and reached an export level of 17,2 million dollars.
Among the branches that do not have an exporter union within the Aegean Exporters' Association, the chemistry branch achieved exports of 164,5 million dollars, while the automotive industry generated 83,3 million dollars, the electrical-electronics department 60 million dollars, the air conditioning sector 56 million dollars, and the machinery branch 42 million dollars.
AEGEAN REGION'S EXPORT IS 2 BILLION 554 MILLION DOLLARS
According to the information of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Aegean Region achieved exports of 2 billion 554 million dollars in July. The Aegean Region managed to increase its exports, which amounted to 2023 billion 2 million dollars in July 329, by 5 percent.
While İzmir alone realized 1 percent of the Aegean Region's exports with an export of 402 billion 55 million dollars, the two free zones in Izmir contributed 266 million dollars to Izmir's exports in July. Manisa ranked second in the Aegean Region with exports of 428,6 million dollars.
While Denizli brought 352 million dollars of foreign currency to Turkey, Muğla showed an export performance of 91 million dollars and Balıkesir showed an export performance of 81 million dollars.
While Aydın left July behind with 72,3 million dollars of exports, Kütahya recorded 38 million dollars in foreign currency. While Afyonkarahisar's exports were 28,5 million dollars, Uşak left July behind with 26,3 million dollars of exports.
ESKİNAZİ: “IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE GRAPH IN JULY IS SUSTAINABLE”
Stating that the export numbers in July across Turkey and on the basis of the Aegean Exporters' Associations are promising, Aegean Exporters' Associations Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi stated that it is important for the top-side exports in July to be sustainable, and for this, exchange rates should follow a course close to inflation figures.
Pointing out that the last year's exports of the Aegean Exporters' Associations are still 1 percent behind, Eskinazi said, "As our TİM President Mustafa Gültepe said, production costs in Turkey are 1-40 percent higher than our competitors in Asia. We are 50-15 percent above some countries in Europe. Many of our departments, especially our labour-intensive segments, cannot keep up with their prices. Our competitiveness is always declining. We need to achieve our export targets in order to maintain employment, welfare and social peace in society. "We expect steps to be taken that will give exporters a breather," he said.
GERMANY, USA AND ENGLAND ARE THE TOP THREE COUNTRIES
When the countries to which the Aegean Exporters' Association exported in July were examined, Germany maintained its top position with exports of 154,5 million dollars. Exports from EİB to Germany increased by 4 percent in July.
EİB's exports to the United States, which ranked second at the summit, increased by 28,5 percent, from 110 million dollars to 141,4 million dollars. EİB exporters increased their exports to the UK from 19,4 million dollars to 75 million dollars with an increase of 90 percent. With this increase, England rose to third place, leaving behind Italy and Spain.
