Sinan Kiziltan, Chairman of the Türkiye Fisheries and Animal Products Exporter Associations Sector Board, highlighted the significant investments Türkiye has made in the seafood sector since 2000. He noted that exports, which were $59 million to about ten countries in 2000, rose to $2.019 billion to 91 countries by the end of 2024, marking a 34-fold increase. While maintaining our strong position in our traditional export market, the European Union, we will focus on promotion efforts to grow in the U.S. and Chinese markets in the coming period."
